01 — Context

Challenge

Three print businesses tracked jobs on whiteboards and WhatsApp. Quantity, paper, and due date changed in chat, and the press did not see the latest ticket.

02 — Method

Approach

One Laravel codebase, three databases. A ticket moves from queued to printing, finishing, and ready. WhatsApp gets a status ping. Shop names are not published.

Workflow

  1. Open a ticket

    Size, stock, quantity, and due date are required before the job can be queued.

  2. Move the job

    Press and finishing move the ticket forward. The customer code stays on the card.

  3. Ready notice

    When the ticket hits Ready, the shop can send a WhatsApp status.

Outcomes

  • The press reads the ticket, not a forwarded message
  • Each shop keeps its own customers and users
  • Due dates are visible before a job is late
