Dispatcher web and driver mobile
01 — Context
Challenge
Dispatchers assigned stops in chat. Drivers called in for the next address. Customers asked for a status the office did not have.
02 — Method
Approach
A web board assigns stops. The Flutter driver app shows the stop, the window, and status: picked up, out for delivery, delivered, exception. Push updates the board. Sample addresses only. The client is unnamed.
Workflow
Build the route
Dispatcher orders stops and assigns a driver.
Run the stop
Driver marks picked up, delivered, or exception from the phone.
Watch the board
Status changes on the phone show on the desk without a call.
Outcomes
- A stop has one driver and one status
- Exceptions are a status, not a missed call
- The board and the phone read the same stop
